เมื่อวันที่ 23 กรกฎาคม 53 ที่ห้องสิมิรัน โรงแรมฮิวตัน อาเคเดีย ต.กะรน อ.เมือง ภูเก็ต นายวศิน วณิชย์วรนันต์ รองกรรมการผู้จัดการ ธนาคารกสิกรไทย จำกัด(มหาชน)ร่วมลงนามการสนับสนุนทางการเงินให้กับโครงการ Pullman Phuket Acadia Nation Beach (ภูแมน ภูเก็ต อาเคเดีย เนชั่น บีช) กับนายชัยวัฒน์ นฤขัตพิชัย กรรมการผู้จัดการบริษัท แฟร์ แอนด์ เฟิร์ม จำกัด ผู้บริหารโครงการ เป็นเงินกู้จำนวน 1 พันล้านบาท ซึ่งโครงการนี้เป็นโรงแรม ระดับ 5 ดาว จำนวน 281 ห้องพัก บริเวณหาดชายหาดในทอน อำเภอถลาง จังหวัดภูเก็ต
ผู้บริหารโครงการ Pullman Phuket Acadia Nation Beach กล่าวว่า การตัดสินใจลงทุนในครั้งนี้ เนื่องจากมองว่าภูเก็ตยังมีศักยภาพทางด้านการท่องเที่ยวอีกมาก เห็นได้จากในช่วงที่เกิดวิกฤตต่างๆ ภูเก็ตสามารถที่จะฟื้นตัวกลับมาได้ในเวลาอันรวดเร็ว และยังคงเป็นจุดหมายปลายทางของนักท่องเที่ยวชาวต่างชาติ ประกอบกับศักยภาพของที่ตั้งของโรงแรมซึ่งมีความเหมาะสมด้วยสามารถที่จะมองเห็นวิวทะเลได้อย่างชัดเจน
ด้านรองกรรมการผู้จัดการ ธนาคารกสิกรไทย จำกัด(มหาชน) เปิดเผยว่า ที่ผ่านมาธนาคารกสิกรไทยได้อนุมัติสินเชื่อโครงการใหญ่ๆในหลายโครงการให้แก่ผู้ประกอบการธุรกิจในภูเก็ต โดยจังหวัดภูเก็ตมีอัตราการเติบโตด้านสินเชื่อกว่าพื้นที่อื่นๆประมาณเป็นร้อยละ 8 ทั้งนี้เป็นผลมาจากธนาคารมีความมั่นใจในศักยภาพและความพร้อมของนักลงทุนในจังหวัดภูเก็ต
